When you breathe deeply, your eyes swell up with the emotion that you’ve been holding onto for So. Very. Long.

When you’re in that challenging pose (Hello Chair Pose. I see you Pigeon Pose. Please don’t make me Warrior II), you’re flooded with thoughts and emotions, but you hold it in because…well…you’re not going to blurt it out in a community yoga space…

You know that this is coming up for a reason. It has to be seen, felt, heard, healed. But where? How?

At Discover Peace Within, we understand the mind-body-spirit connection, and offer a safe space to process it all. The body holds so much emotional material, and you deserve a specific place to unpack and make sense of what comes up for you.

How it works.

Step 01

Schedule a free 15- 20 minute consultation. All consultation appointments are conducted virtually. Please be online at least five minutes prior to our session in a quiet, private space. These calls give us a chance to get to know each other and to determine if we are a good fit. We will also discuss whether you would benefit from individual or group sessions, or both.

Step 02

Prior to your first Yoga Therapy session, you will sign a Contract and complete an intake questionnaire. This allows you time to review our policies and come to your appointment with any questions. Completing your intake questionnaire prior to your session gives Ilene time to learn more about you.

Step 03

At your Yoga Therapy session, our yoga therapists will go over the Contract and policies, ensuring you understand how this process works. They will help you identify goals for your work together, and how frequently we will meet. They value getting to know you, and spend time building a safe and trusting relationship.

Individual
Yoga.

Yoga for Individuals involves blending traditional yoga poses with process-oriented talk therapy strategies. This unique approach allows you to notice what is coming up in your body while engaging in your yoga practice and to have a safe place to process new insights - in real time.

For new or seasoned yogis and yoginis alike, you will find a deeper way to connect what is happening in your mind, body, and spirit, so that you can heal from your past, show up more mindfully in the present, and move forward in life with greater awareness and healing.

Working with our yoga therapists, you have a space to discuss the goals you have for your life on AND off the mat. They will curate a tailored yoga practice based on those goals. As you move through your specialized practice sequence, they will hold space for you on a physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual level.

Yoga for Individuals can be a standalone service, or work in conjunction with regular counseling sessions. It can feel helpful to schedule a one-time Yoga for Individuals Session, or to incorporate this into your regular self-care routine.

Group
Yoga.

Yoga Groups are a powerful opportunity for people to engage in their individual yoga practice, while supporting and holding space for others who are traveling their own unique, but similar journey.

Yoga Groups offer participants a way to make meaningful connections with others who might be going through similar life situations, or who have survived common experiences. Yoga Groups can help you feel not so alone. Partaking in a Yoga Group can help you deepen your connection to body-mind-spirit and to community.

Yoga Groups can be scheduled for a one-time special occasion such as bachelorette parties, baby showers, women’s circles, book clubs, Girls’ Nights, or birthday parties. Discover Peace Within also offers regular Yoga Groups that are open to the public.
