Meet Ana: Attachment Specialist
Whether you’re overwhelmed by emotions, trying to reconnect with your true self, or navigating relationship challenges, finding the way forward can feel confusing.
Often, these patterns are rooted in attachment wounds that may present as intense anxiety, panic attacks, boundary issues, avoiding conflict, or relationship challenges.
As a therapist specializing in attachment, maternal mental health, and grief, I take a holistic, strengths-based approach to help you make sense of your experiences, identify patterns and themes, and work to uncover their roots. Together we will work towards creating a sense of safety, purpose, resilience, balance, and connection.

Ana’s Story
Trauma & Attachment Specialist
As a mother of two with a background in child development, I understand the profound role of attachment on both personal and professional levels. I’m especially attuned to how childhood experiences shape your current struggles and can help you bring awareness and healing from the fear that may keep you from the love and connection you seek.
I believe the foundation of any healing process is to create a safe and trusting space to reconnect with your mind, body, and spirit and to realign with the wisdom that is already within you. I am profoundly grateful to hold space with you to uncover the roots of past attachment wounds and where all parts of you are welcomed and celebrated.
Using a blend of mindfulness, experiential tools, Attachment Therapy, Internal Family Systems (IFS) Therapy, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), I take an integrative, holistic, and trauma-informed approach that adapts to whatever you bring to each session. Together, we’ll work toward building a foundation of security and resilience, empowering you to feel more grounded in your relationships and life.

Do You Need Attachment Therapy?
Certain experiences can deeply impact our attachment system, leading to distress, overwhelm, and isolation. If you identify with one or more of these experiences, working with an attachment specialist may be beneficial, although this list is not exhaustive.
Environment
- Emotionally distant or unavailable caregivers
- Growing up in a chaotic, neglectful, or violent home(s)
- High-conflict family dynamics
- Cultural displacement, i.e. immigration, transcultural adoption, foster care placements, or refugee status
Relationships
- Any change in relationship - new relationship, separation, divorce, marriage, pregnancy
- Loss of an important person in your life
- Repetitive, unfulfilling relationship patterns
- Patterns of codependency or hyper-independence
- Caregivers with undiagnosed or untreated mental health issues
Self
- Change in identity – parenthood, career, graduation, or aging
- Difficulty trusting others or fear of intimacy
- Emotions feel like a rollercoaster (and not the fun kind)
- Feeling unworthy or insecure
- Constant need for reassurance
- People-pleasing
Why Do Attachment Styles Matter?
Understanding your attachment style can be a powerful step toward feeling more grounded, shifting painful emotional patterns, and creating secure, fulfilling relationships.
Whether you experience anxious, avoidant, or mixed feelings about closeness, we’ll work together to explore the roots of these patterns, often shaped by early experiences and cultural messaging. By understanding your responses to your emotional needs, you can uncover beliefs that may be preventing you from getting your needs met.
If you've ever felt afraid to be vulnerable with others, felt panic during relationship conflict, or questioned your self-worth in relationships, I’ll help you express your needs, set healthy boundaries, and navigate conflict with strength and resilience.
