What Is a Highly Sensitive Person (HSP)?
A Highly Sensitive Person, or HSP, is someone with a heightened ability to process sensory information. Known as Sensory Processing Sensitivity (SPS), this trait is entirely normal and occurs in about 15-20% of the population and has been well-researched by therapists and psychologists.
Highly Sensitive Individuals often experience strong emotional reactions, think deeply, and have a keen awareness of environmental subtleties.
