Lauren’s Story

As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Perinatal Mental Health Therapist, and certified Yoga Therapist, I combine values-driven guidance, mindfulness, and body-centered practices to support you through both the big and small moments of parenthood.

As a mom of two young children, I understand the chaos, anxiety, and “never enough” feeling. I know what it is like to doubt every move that you make–worried it could have a lasting, negative impact on your child.

I’m here to assure you–you’re doing great, mama.

Rooted in personal and professional wisdom, I provide warmth, authenticity, and empathy as we tackle your toughest moments as a new mom. We will courageously access humor and playfulness to help you connect more deeply with yourself, your partner, and your child, too.

Whether you’re expecting your first child, or on your fourth, I’m here to help you navigate the mental load of family life, build strong communication with your partner, and set boundaries that bring more peace, playfulness, and presence to your home.

Why Work With A Perinatal Mental Health Specialist
& Yoga Therapist?

Between the physical and emotional recovery from labor and delivery, to sleepless nights with a newborn, it’s easy to feel like you’re running on empty.

If you’re navigating a difficult pregnancy, or on your fertility journey, you may feel judgment from others or yourself, like your body has failed you or it’s all your fault.

As a trauma-informed yoga therapist, I support you in learning to care for and tap into your body’s wisdom – even if that feels like the furthest thing you can access.

By incorporating simple breathwork, gentle movement, and heart-opening practices into our sessions, I can help you experience mini-moments of peace and calm amidst the endless to-dos of parenting.

Yoga therapy and other movement-based practices may be especially helpful for reducing anxiety and creating a sense of calm and connection during life’s most stressful moments. Plus, I’m trained in prenatal yoga, so if you’re an expecting mom, I can guide you in connecting with your body and mind in ways that feel supportive and grounding.

Support For New & Expectant Moms

As a perinatal specialist and mother of two young children, I’m here to help normalize the wide range of emotions that come with new parenthood, from managing holidays with a new baby, expressing boundaries with in-laws, and feeling “touched out” by the end of the day.

My goal is to help you feel more connected to yourself, your children, and your partner, bringing you closer to the balance and fulfillment you’re seeking – and fully enjoying the precious moments of motherhood.

Together we will embrace what parenting looks like for you – by exploring your values, adjusting expectations, and taking steps to create a life rooted in connection and quality time, regardless of if the laundry gets done.

(Hint: It never does. Ask about my laundry couch.)

EMDR Therapy with Lauren

In addition to my work as a perinatal/postpartum specialist and yoga therapist, I’m trained in EMDR, a powerful approach for processing past traumas, including birth trauma, difficult childhood experiences, and relationship wounds that might resurface as you raise your own family.

If you find yourself feeling triggered or facing “mom guilt,” we’ll work together to understand where these feelings come from and build self-compassion. I believe self-care doesn’t have to be complicated—it can be as simple as taking small, consistent steps to nourish yourself throughout your day. EMDR Therapy can help uncover the barriers to taking time for yourselves when you need it most.
